ELIJAH'S RAVEN

$541.74 MXN

The design depicts a Raven with a piece of bread in it's mouth. This is a reference to the Prophet Elijah in the Old Testament.

After the Prophet confronts the preists of Baal and corrupt King Ahab, God commands Elijah to live in the wilderness, where he is sustained by the ravens who bring him food. These ravens—unclean creatures by the law of Israel—arrive daily with bread and meat sent by God to nourish his Prophet, revealing a paradox: When civilization is corrupted and truth is persecuted, nourishment comes not from the centers of power but from the wild margins. This story mirrors our time, when those who confront the false gods of the age are silenced, scattered, and pushed into cultural wilderness. Raven’s bread becomes a living symbol of resistance, hope, and most of all God's providence.

It teaches us that even the corrupt, evil, persecution-heavy times we are in can nourish our souls - and that God's light can shine through this darkness and turn unholy things Holy. That sustenance for the soul can arrive from places or people that we would least expect, or that the world has learned to despise.

The internet can reflect this idea of an "unclean creature" - a place filled with temptation and hatred. And yet, it has also been a place for great learning and communication. An unclean conduit, that nevertheless, can bring us nourishment. This is my hope for my work online.
